‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instil love for learning’

Bal Bhavan International School celebrates Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Teachers on this day.

A beautiful poem highlighted the importance of a guru (teacher). Students also presented their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers. The assembly was followed by different activities planned by students in their respective classes for their lovely teachers. Thereafter, as a token of love and appreciation for them, teachers indulged in fun filled activities that marked the celebration. They played together creating memories to cherish forever.

Hindi Diwas

Every year 14 September is observed at Hindi Diwas to mark the importance of our mother language Hindi. Hindi language is one of the oldest languages obtains much of its academic terminology from the Sanskrit language written in Devanagari script. This day is marked by Constituent assembly of India as Official Hindi Language day. It is one of the 22 languages of the Republic of India. On this special day our Junior Students celebrates to inculcate love for Hindi language and get knowledge on importance of this day. A special assembly was conducted by All the senior students. The junior students took part whole heartedly in Debate and drama and Senior students took participation in quiz competition.

Diwali Celebration

Diwali is a festival of lights which is celebrated in various region across India. Diwali signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair. BBIS Gannaur celebrated Diwali with Great Enthusiasm, Devotion and excitement; the school had an ambience of joy and happiness. All the classes took participate in decoration of school campus that added charm and religious fervor to the atmosphere as the little ones dressed up as different character from the Ramayana enchanted all. Rangli, Diya, pot decoration was held between all the classes. Students enjoys exchanging gifts and cards.

Dussehra celebration

Bal Bhavan International School celebrated ‘Dussehra’ on 7th October 2019 with great fervour and devotion. India is known as a land of festivals & celebration and ‘Dussehra’ is one of them which has been unique in its perception and significance. Students were adorned in attractive outfits for the day to perform the great epic Ramayana where they were dressed up as Lord Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Ravan, Jatayu, Vanar, etc.

The spectators were delighted to see the children perform and were glad that they had learned values that are the core of the Ramayana. The celebration was to mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil. Children were given a special take away craft to memorize this special day on their way back to home. Everyone seemed to be in a state of absolute bliss.

Holi Celebrations

Holi was well organized and enjoyed by all the students at Bal Bhavan boarding school, it was a beautiful spring day. Students enjoyed true explosion of colour. They explained the demerits of synthetic colour and encouraged them to play eco-friendly Holi by using organic colours. Truly Holi not only strengthens the bond of unity but it also makes us stronger as a family.

Republic day

Spreading, sharing patriotic warmth all around, the Bal Bhavanites once again reunite to mark the anniversary of the great Constitution of India, celebrated as the Republic Day.

Independence Day

Independence Day Flag Hoisting Patriotic fervor pervaded the air at the flag hoisting ceremony on the grounds of Bal Bhavan International School, to commemorate the Independence Day. Principal Mr. Jai Bharat Gupta and tiny tots from Nursery wing hoisted the National flag.

The National Anthem and a speech brought out the relevance and importance of independence in the modern-day. Blooming citizens of classes Nursery, KG, 1 st & 2 nd were the ones whose zeal and zest made the programme a success. The students of class 1 st & 2 nd dressed up as freedom fighters in order to pay homage and tribute to the treasured stars of our nation. This was followed by the students of Nursery & KG Class, reciting the all-time favorite patriotic song # Ye desh hai Veer Jawano Ka, that left the audience spell bound. The event was followed up by House wise Dance competition which was again a tribute to our soldiers.

Janamashtami

Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm, on this Janmashtami day, in India. Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, is observed on the Ashtami tithi, the eighth day of the dark half or Krishna Paksha of the month of Shraavana. Lord Krishna is known worldwide and celebrated as an avatar of God Vishnu.

On Saturday, 24 of August 2019, the students of Bal Bhavan International School celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Pre-Primary came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colourful program was organized by the children of the school; where students presented songs and dance performance. The students were overjoyed when the seniors broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ to grace this occasion. Dahi Handi is the most ancient joyful game played and celebrated, for the birth of Krishna on Janmashtami. It is celebrated amidst merriment. Young men and boys form teams, make a human pyramid and attempt to reach or break the pot. This holy occasion brought everyone together, thus signifying unity and faith.

X-MAS

A festival that is celebrated by over a billion people worldwide, Christmas is one of the biggest festivals celebrated around the world on the 25th of December every year. Christmas in India is celebrated with equal enthusiasm and passion as in other parts of the world yet has given it its own flavour. We believe in sharing happiness on Christmas day Bal Bhavan contributes goodies towards Aadarsh Shiksha Samiti. Through parents and students support we were able to make difference between the live of 100 very special kids.

Labour Day

To honour workers for their contribution towards making our lives easier, schools across the Tricity celebrated the untiring services provided by the labourers on the Labour Day. As a mark of respect self-made snacks and lemonades were also served by the children and served refreshments to the SafaiKaramcharis. A special assembly was organized for the students of the school in which they learnt about the importance of the day, reason behind the celebration of the day and origin of the day.

Earth Day

Earth Day is about raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and taking action. On this special day varied activities conducted in every class, some creative or colouring activities. Following this event, was a special assembly conducted by the students of class 5A , describing the importance of the day and that of tree planting through a skit. To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, all the Nursery to II children were involved in speaking slogans like ‘Save Earth’ and ‘Go Green’.

National sports day

The National Sports Day in India is celebrated on 29 August, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. This day marks the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, the hockey player who won gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936. He scored over 400 goals in his career, from 1926 to 1948.

After putting his stamp on the international hockey arena, and having served his country to reach its pinnacles of glory multiple times. He is a legendary figure in Indian and world hockey. The most noted memorials for him is the Major Dhyan Chand Award, the highest award for lifetime achievement in sports and games in India, and the National Sport day celebrations on his birthday. Bal Bhavan wishes all sports enthusiasts on this special day.

Sneak peeks into the Yoga session of little Bal Bhavanites. Yoga is basically the most important ancient art that aims towards the building up of a healthy mind within a healthy body. Bal bhavanites start their routine with yoga that helps them to have active mind and concentration.

World Post Office Day

In an educative and fun filled trip, students from Class Nur - II of Bal Bhavan International School visited the Gannaur Post Office on the occasion of World Post Office Day and learnt about the services provided by the Post Office to the public. The children learnt about the different services available in the Post Office such as registered post, money order and speed post. Children were excited to see how the letters were stamped, sorted and put in different boxes and shelves. Curiosity led the children to ask questions to the Post Master, who was happy to answer their queries and explained how letters were collected and delivered to their destinations. In the high tech Era of Mobile and e-mail, the children enjoyed watching the services of postman in delivering the letters in person to the public.
